San Raffaele
In 2003 the semi-completed hull of San Raffaele arrived on our doorstep; the small company that had started the build “went bust” leaving the owner out of pocket and with a significantly less than seaworthy boat!
The new vessel had to have good seakeeping abilities and be able to work the south Wellongton coast, Cook Strait and up the southeastern coast of the North Island as required.
The vessel will be mainly used for crayfish amd line Fishing, but needed to be able to work in the charter feild somewhere down the track if required. Persico was impressed by the lines and performance of the Western Australian crayboats which utilise a pot-tipper and a raised wheelhouse .
